Meet the Doctor

Dr. Aleksandar Jankov joined the Baptist Medical Group team in 2011. His practice and research interest areas include breast cancer, brain and spine tumors, and gastrointestinal tract malignancies, such as pancreas and colon cancer. A practicing hematologist/oncologist in the Mid-South since 2003, Dr. Jankov was voted Top Medical Oncologist in Memphis in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. He sees patients in Tennessee and Mississippi.

What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

I am committed to evaluating, diagnosing and addressing the hematology/oncology issues for which I see each patient. A firm believer in the power of healthy living, wholesome diet and regular exercise as part of staying healthy and beating cancer, I also provide counseling for my patients.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

A mutual respect, trust and understanding between the patient and doctor are key elements of treatment success.
