Visitor Guidelines

Visitation should be limited as much as possible for the safety of our patients, physicians and our staff.

Baptist Cancer Center is committed to showing care and compassion for our patients, and we understand their need for visitors during this time. However, as we evolve to protect patients who have compromised immune systems and our employees from the risks of COVID-19, we will no longer be accepting visitors.

Limited exceptions for special circumstances when a single adult visitor needs to accompany a patient include:

  • Patients with cognitive or physical frailties and/or unable to consent for themselves.
  • A caregiver who is already serving in a constant care capacity.
  • Patients with a family member who provides safety or is critical to patient care.

Authorized visitors must be willing to participate in daily screenings for COVID-19. As an additional preventive measure, all patients and visitors will be asked to wear a mask upon arrival to our facilities.

Please note that all visitors must screen negative based on travel, have no symptoms of respiratory infection (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath) and have had no contact with known or suspected COVID-19 patients.

We appreciate your understanding as we take these necessary steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We remain committed to providing our patients with exceptional care during this challenging time.

Specific questions may be directed to your care team via MyChart message or phone call. If you have questions, please call our 24/7, toll-free Coronavirus Resource Center hotline at 866-941-4785.
