Electronic Health Records

Baptist OneCare is a fully integrated electronic health record, powered by Epic Systems, that does far more than just digitize patient files. Baptist OneCare gives patients the power to access their own records anywhere, anytime, refill prescriptions and make doctor's appointments from any computer or mobile device, and even consult with their doctor's office remotely.

For providers, Baptist OneCare means a seamless continuum of care when it comes to treatment, imaging, lab and referral services. It is a major step forward in helping ensure that health care is safer, more efficient, and more convenient for patients.

Medical Records at Baptist

Baptist is an integrated health system where medical records are easily shared between facilities in our network. This approach helps us give our patients the best care possible in a short amount of time.

The Privacy Rule for healthcare in the United States gives you the right to receive a copy of your medical records and billing records. Only you or your personal representative has the right to access your records. A health care provider or health plan may send copies of your records to another provider or health plan as needed for treatment or payment or as authorized by you. However, the Privacy Rule does not require the health care provider or health plan to share information with other providers or plans.

Baptist will also make any corrections you need made to your medical or billing record. You can request that we amend your records and we must respond to your request.

Here is full instruction and contact information for how to request your medical records through Baptist Memorial Health Care. To obtain your medical records you will need to fill out the Authorization to Release Protected Health Information Form.

For more information on your medical records contact your Baptist Cancer Center facility.
