Baptist Cancer Center - North Mississippi
Our team of cancer treatment professionals has years of experience in their field and are highly qualified experts. Our physicians are all board-certified in radiation oncology, medical oncology or oncologic surgery, and our staff holds a variety of degrees and certifications.
A radiation oncologist, along with registered nurses, a registered radiation therapist, and dosimetry and nuclear medicine health care professionals staff the center. Patients are treated from a team approach, with each member playing a specific role.
The American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer (CoC) Approvals Program recently accredited Baptist Cancer Center-North Mississippi because our program offers prevention, early diagnosis, pre-treatment evaluation, staging, optimal treatment, rehabilitation, surveillance for recurrent disease, support services and end-of-life care.
The Baptist Cancer Center-North Mississippi was also awarded the Gold Certification Seal Standard for quality and completeness in the cancer registry by the state of Mississippi.
Baptist Cancer Center believes that the best prevention for cancer is found through education and early detection. Reduced-rate mammogram and prostate cancer screenings, as well as educational programs, are performed throughout the year in communities across North Mississippi.

Baptist Cancer Center offers chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The center also has advanced technology, including a linear accelerator, a CT simulator and a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanner. New procedures, including brachytherapy (prostate seed implants) and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), are performed at the center.
