Meet the Doctor

Don Gravenor, MD, has been a Baptist Medical Group physician since 2011. Dr. Gravenor specializes in hematology and oncology. He treats patients in the Memphis and Southaven areas.

What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

Personalized, attentive care with attention to large and small clinical details. I have a huge interest in clinical research and participation in clinical trials. I will try to determine the appropriate care for the patient, with help from the family.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

Small things, mostly along the lines of taking a history, examination and reviewing laboratory results, go a long way. Also, trying to set a treatment and surveillance roadmap is very helpful.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

Snow skiing and tennis.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding?

Patient contact and clinical research.
